Join us in DLIN SearchCycle 2013!

As a kid growing up in rather humble surroundings in Delhi, we never had the place to keep a bicycle. I always lived knowing I can't ride a bike. But then came 2012. January started with OMLogic working on two bicycle brands as social media partners and continued with me buying a 5-gear bicycle. It has put the bicycle in the forefront of my life for now. And now, with 2013, I am extremely proud to associate with DLIN SearchCycle 2013, a biking event for the search engine community. Gillian Muessig (@SEOmom), President & co-founder of SEOMoz and one of the best known personalities... Read More

Gruesome Gangrapes: A Problem… Judicial, Social or rather Mental?

Outrageous. Let’s demonstrate. Let’s destroy some public property. Let’s hang some people. Let’s ask for some heads. We can't be okay with this. It is very normal for everyone to feel this way after the gruesome gang rape of an innocent girl in Delhi. The question is: Will all this help? Just 3 days back I was comparing safety in India vs US (Delhi versus Newtown). And here we are, a sad reminder to the world and what's changing around us. My humble opinion is that it’s not about guns & not about police/security, it is not about lust & not about man's propensity for ... Read More

Why would anyone shoot 20 people in Newtown?

Read the news and was SHOCKED. Newtown is less than 10 miles from where my house in the US was (I still own the place but I live in India now). When I moved from there, I was clear that I was moving to a slightly riskier place. A place where it’s easier to get hit, easier to get killed. On the road and outside. That probably is still true, but I am shaken by what all I have heard in the last few weeks. That brings me to an interesting debate which has been doing the rounds in the US ever since a couple of shootings in 90's: “Should guns be allowed in US?” Here is what I have heard so... Read More

When Life Went Upside Down… Literally!

We always complain about unsafe road highways. Well, I experienced it yesterday. A completely intoxicated guy jumped in front of my car on NH1, in broad daylight around 2pm. In my attempt to rescue him, I lost control of my Mahindra Xylo (I got a positive and a negative review for it, but more on that later). My car swirled, tipped on one side, flipped and hit the sidewalk. There were 3 ladies, 4 kids and me in the car. I was hanging by the seat belt when I looked up and there were 30 odd people standing around the car. I got out of the car thru the broken glass of the driver... Read More

Call to boycott Cleartrip!

PR and the Buzz about Cleartrip   Cleartrip's recent firing of BuzzPR is definitely justified; a PR agency misusing the data is abominable. Having said that, using this to get cheap publicity with their customers by telling them 'how much they care' is just as sad. As an agency, I am very disappointed by Cleartrip's actions. This Kejriwal like "Expose" needs to end. I am sure the PR agency will have sufficient examples of when the brand would have hidden something and would have sought the support from the same PR agency. Does that mean that the PR agency should now go out and ex... Read More

What The Chicken!

Gold glitters and gold sells, Diamond is rare, richer it smells! How about chicken..? Tawa, Kadhai, Afghani or Roasted… smells great at fair-share price and tastes even better! But then, it’s got life and we are predators in disguise…! Silly it may sound, this is the steaming thought that ignites many-a-controversies time and again (not to forget the recent mention that “non-vegetarians easily cheat, tell lies, they forget promises, they are dishonest and tell bad words, steal, fight and turn to violence and commit sex crimes"). Vegetarians, aka ‘Vegans’ of modern times a... Read More

Another Blog.. Why? Why? Why?

I have been running a social media agency for years now, and have shied away from starting a blog of my own.. Weird, right!! Well, come to think of it, not so weird. Everybody in the social media industry seems to want to right, some prolific great writers, and others just like to hear themselves (read in this case).. :-) No need to start another one of the self-fulfilling kinds.. I have started this blog with an intention of making this a diary of my experiences, and share those with my readers. I will love to hear feedback, so feel free to shoot if you want..... Read More
